Hey ladies, are you sick and tired of unwanted hair? Well, laser hair removal could be just the treatment you need. Here at Highness Clinics, we offer the best laser hair removal treatment in Dubai. It’s a semi-permanent solution that damages your hair follicles to prevent hair growth. Before you book your appointment, there are a few things to consider.
Results Vary for Different Hair Colours/ Skin Tones
They may say that blondes have more fun, but that doesn’t mean they get the best laser hair removal treatment in Dubai. The lighter your hair, the more difficult your treatment can be. The lasers are attracted to colour, which is why darker hair follicles are easier to treat. Laser hair removal works best on fair skin tones with dark hair. Darker skin tones are more difficult to treat because they must compete with coloured hair follicles for the laser’s attention. If you have a darker skin tone, it’s best to receive a treatment with a Nd:YAG laser. This laser is well equipped to differentiate hair and skin pigment. We have a Nd:YAG laser in order for you to receive the best laser hair removal treatment Dubai has to offer
Avoid Sun Exposure
SPF is your best friend! At Highness Clinics, we strongly recommend you avoid sunlight 4-6 weeks before your laser hair removal treatment. It might be difficult to avoid the sun in Dubai, but failure to do so can result in skin discolouration following your laser hair removal treatment. A tan or sunburn can also increase your risk of hyperpigmentation. Depending on the severity of a sunburn, some physicians may even refuse to treat you.
Patience is Key
Hang in there, results will come. We’ll be honest with you; you probably wont see results after your first laser hair removal treatment. Just be patient! If you’re consistent with your treatments and follow our recommendations, you should see results within 2 months. In order to stay consistent, book your laser hair removal treatments every 4-6 weeks.
Don’t Wax
Waxing during your laser hair removal process is a big no-no. Waxing or plucking hinders the laser hair removal process as it pulls the hair from the roots. If you absolutely need to be hair-free, go the shaving route.
Medications Can Interfere
Certain medications are photosensitive and can interfere with your laser hair removal treatment. You must stop using these medications at least one week before your scheduled treatment. Antibiotics are often considered photosensitive so it’s best to reschedule your appointment if you have an infection. Over the counter medications such as aspirin and ibuprofen can also increase the risk of bruising. We recommend that you avoid these medications one week before your treatment as well.
